SSL
What is SSL?
According to Domantas G. & Brian (2025) “Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) is a digital
security feature that enables an encrypted connection between a website and a
browser. SSL aims to provide a safe and secure way to transmit sensitive data,
including personal information, credit card details, and login credentials.”
SSL is a fundamental tool for internet
security. I think it's very important to have a system that encrypts the
connection between the browser and the website, especially when dealing with
sensitive data like passwords or banking information. Personally, I always
check if a page has a padlock in the address bar, because it gives me
confidence that my data is protected. Thanks to SSL, I can make online
purchases or log into personal accounts with greater peace of mind, knowing
that the information I send can't be easily intercepted.
